The Spektrum iX14 is a sophisticated 14-channel 2.4GHz DSMX aircraft transmitter running on the Android operating system. This guide covers essential setup, charging, and navigation procedures. Always ensure batteries are charged, check servos before each run, and engage throttle cut before approaching the model.

Charging
For optimal results, use a USB power supply with at least 2-3A output. The first charge may take 6-7 hours.
- Connect a 2-3A USB power supply to an AC outlet.
- Connect the magnetic USB cable to the power supply.
- Insert the magnetic micro USB adapter into the transmitter's USB port.
- Connect the cable to the adapter. The LED will flash blue while charging.
- Charging is complete when the battery capacity icon on the screen shows full.
Powering On/Off and Navigation
The iX14 uses a push-button power switch. Press and hold to power on or off. Startup takes approximately one minute. The system features a color touch screen using standard Android gestures. Swipe down from the top or left from the right edge to access Android navigation icons (Back, Home, Overview) or the Notification Screen for quick settings like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Creating a New Model
- Touch the pen icon on the dashboard to access Model Utilities.
- Select Add a New Model from the top right menu.
- Select Default and choose the model type (Airplane, Helicopter, Sailplane, or Multirotor).
- Select Create.
Gimbal and Throttle Adjustments
Gimbal adjustments (Mode, Ratchet, Tension) can be made without removing the back cover by removing small rubber plugs around the gimbal face. Throttle limiting can be adjusted by removing the plastic switch covers above and below the gimbal and sliding the throttle limit switch to the opposite position.
Safety Precautions
- Never operate near spectators or in adverse weather.
- Never point the transmitter antenna directly at the model.
- If abnormal operation is observed, stop immediately.
- Not for children under 14.
