Before installing your mailbox, you are required to contact your local post office to ensure correct placement and height at the street. Generally, mailboxes are installed at a height of 41 to 45 inches from the road surface to the inside surface of the mailbox (or the lowest edge of the mail entry for locked designs). The mailbox door should be set back 6 to 8 inches from the front face of the curb or road edge.

Installation

The mailbox is designed to be installed over a standard 4x4 wooden post (not included). The unit includes standard mounting holes designed for use with 1/4 inch truss head bolts (not included). Always follow the post manufacturer's mounting instructions and USPS mounting standards.

Cleaning and maintenance

The mailbox features EverTough resin construction which is designed to last through rain, snow, and sun without chipping, splintering, rusting, or tarnishing. For general cleaning, use a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water. Inspect the product periodically and replace any damaged or worn components.
