This document provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient operation of the Tefal 187GV9820G0 steam iron. Operation

To begin using the iron, fill the water tank to the MAX level. Connect the device to power and turn it on. The iron features several steam settings, including Smart, Delicate, Normal, and Boost modes. Select the desired mode based on the fabric type. The device includes an auto-off function that activates after approximately 8 minutes of inactivity.

Water Tank

To refill the water tank, ensure the device is switched off and unplugged. Remove the tank, fill it with water up to the MAX indicator, and securely click it back into place. Always ensure the tank is properly seated before operation.

Anti-Calc Maintenance

Regular maintenance is required to prevent scale buildup. The device will indicate when the anti-calc procedure is necessary. To perform this, ensure the unit is cool, remove the anti-calc collector, rinse it, and reinsert it securely. This should be performed approximately twice a year to ensure optimal steam output.

Safety and Troubleshooting

Always place the iron on a stable surface. Do not leave the iron unattended while connected to the power supply. If the device fails to produce steam or shows an error, check that the water tank is correctly installed and that the anti-calc collector is properly tightened.
