Maintenance
Regular maintenance is essential to keep your Thule trailer in good condition.
- Inspection: Regularly check metal components for dents or cracks. Do not use the trailer if any metal parts are damaged. Check fasteners for bending, breakage, or looseness; tighten or replace as needed. Inspect fabric for tears or wear.
- Cleaning: Clean regularly with warm water and a mild soapy solution. Never use harsh cleansers or solvents.
- Wheels: Clean wheel axles and apply grease or oil to exposed moving parts. Have wheels inspected and serviced at least once a year.
- Storage: Store in a dry area out of direct sunlight. Ensure the trailer is completely dry before storage to prevent mold or bacteria growth.
Assembly and Usage
The trailer requires assembly of wheels and the bike arm. Ensure all 'click' indicators are green before use. Always use the parking brake when loading or unloading children. When using as a bike trailer, ensure the bike arm is securely attached and the safety strap is connected.
