This manual provides installation and maintenance instructions for the Topmaq 12V Diesel Air Heater. The heater is designed for independent heating of vehicle cockpits, RVs, and other enclosed spaces without starting the vehicle engine. Key safety requirements include ensuring proper ventilation, keeping the exhaust outlet outside the vehicle, and avoiding the use of the heater in flammable environments.

Technical Parameters
- Heating Power: 1500-3000W (3KW model)
- Rated Voltage: 12V/24V/60V
- Fuel: Diesel oil
- Operating Modes: Manual heating and automatic air conditioning
- Undervoltage Protection Limit: 21.5V
Installation
The heater must be installed on a flat surface to prevent exhaust gas leakage. Ensure there is enough space around the fuselage to prevent deformation during operation.

Installation Angles
The heater can be tilted downwards in the direction of hot air (max 30 degrees) or rotated around its long axis (max 90 degrees) to ensure the ignition oil supply device remains in the upward position.
Fuel Pump Installation
The fuel pump must be installed with the nozzle end tilted upwards (15-35 degrees preferred). Ensure a seamless connection with the tubing to avoid air bubbles. The pump should be installed below the fuel tank and below the heater.
Exhaust and Air Intake
The exhaust pipe must be tilted downward to allow condensate discharge and must be located outside the vehicle. Keep the exhaust pipe away from heat-sensitive parts like fuel pipes and wires.
Operation
The heater features two main control methods: knob control and digital screen control.
- Start Heating: Turn the knob clockwise or hold the switch key for 1 second on the digital screen. The unit will perform a self-test before starting.
- Mode Switching: Toggle between warm air mode (red light) and automatic air conditioning mode (green light).
- Power Regulation: Adjust output power or set temperature using the knob or control buttons.
- Shutdown: Press and hold the on/off key for 1 second. The heater will stop and dissipate heat before shutting down completely.
Troubleshooting
If the heater fails, the status indicator will flash a fault code. Count the number of slow flashes (1Hz) between fast flashes (20Hz) to determine the code.
- Ignition Failure / Flameout: Check fuel tank levels, tubing for leaks or freezing, and oil pump seal.
- Voltage Anomaly: Check battery voltage.
- Fan Error: Check if the fan is jammed or misconnected.
- Ultra-high Temperature: Check for blocked air inlet/outlet.
Practical help
Common problems
Check if the fuel tank is empty, the tubing is open or frozen, or if the oil pump seal is damaged.
Verify that the battery voltage is within the required range (too high or too low).
Check if the fan is jammed or if the fan connector is misconnected.
Ensure the air inlet and outlet are not blocked and that there is sufficient air flow.
Before use
- Ensure the fuel tank is filled with diesel.
- Verify all oil line connections are tight and free of leaks.
- Ensure electrical connections are firm and free of corrosion.
- Confirm the exhaust outlet is positioned outside the vehicle.
- Check that air intake and outlet ducts are clear of obstructions.
Specs in practice
- Rated Voltage
- Supports 12V, 24V, or 60V systems; ensure compatibility with your vehicle.
- Fuel Consumption
- 0.22-0.39 L/H depending on the model and operating power.
- Undervoltage Protection
- The system will shut down if voltage drops below 21.5V to protect the battery.
Images and diagrams
- Fuel pump installation: Shows the T-type tee connection and the requirement for the pump to be installed below the fuel tank.
- Installation angles: Illustrates the allowed tilt angles for the heater and fuel pump to ensure proper operation and prevent oil backflow.
- Circuit diagram: Provides the electrical wiring layout for the master controller and control box.
Model compatibility
- Suitable for cars, trailers, RVs, excavators, and electric vehicles.
- For 60V-100V electric vehicles, a voltage reducer must be installed.
- Do not connect directly to a single battery in an electric vehicle; use the total voltage output.
