Operation

Fuel Mixing: Use a 25:1 ratio of unleaded regular gasoline to 2-cycle oil. Mix in a container outside in a well-ventilated area.

Cold Engine Start:

Open the gas cap vent screw all the way (counterclockwise).
Move the choke lever to the CHOKE or ON position.
Prime the unit (if equipped with a primer bulb, fill the hose).
Push the rocker switch to the ON position.
Grasp the throttle control wide open with your right hand.
Grasp the starter handle with your left hand and pull slowly until it engages, then pull with a rapid full arm stroke.
After the engine starts, move the choke lever to the HALF CHOKE position until the unit runs smoothly.
Move the choke lever to the RUN or OFF position and move the throttle to the desired speed.

Hot Engine Start:

Open the gas cap vent screw all the way (counterclockwise).
Follow the cold start procedure starting from step 5.

Stopping the Engine: Push the rocker switch to the OFF position.

Maintenance and Storage

Air Filter: Service every 3 months or 20 hours of operation. Wash in warm water with mild soap, rinse, dry, and apply a light coat of oil.
