Quick guide from the manual

The Toyota 12V Air Compressor is designed for inflating vehicle tyres, sports balls, and other inflatables using a 12V DC power source. Important: Do not operate the compressor for more than 20 minutes at a time. Allow the unit to cool down for at least 20 minutes before using it again. Always ensure the vehicle engine is running and the parking brake is set before operation.

Product Overview

The compressor features a compact, portable design with a built-in pressure gauge. The gauge displays PSI values in red and BAR values in black. The unit includes a cigarette lighter plug for connection to your vehicle's power socket.

Inflating Tyres

  1. Open the cover on the back of the compressor to retrieve the air hose and power cord.
  2. Start the vehicle engine. Ensure the parking brake is set and the gear is in P (Park) or Neutral.
  3. Attach the valve connector on the end of the air hose to the tyre valve stem and screw it on until tight.
  4. Plug the cigarette lighter plug into the vehicle's lighter socket.
  5. Switch the ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
  6. Monitor the gauge needle as it moves according to the tyre pressure.
  7. Once the recommended pressure (found in your vehicle's owner's manual or on the driver's side door jamb) is reached, switch the compressor to OFF.
  8. Unplug the power cord and remove the air hose connector.

Inflatables

  1. Follow the same setup steps as for tyres (engine running, parking brake set).
  2. Attach the appropriate nozzle (ball needle or plastic inflatable nozzle) to the air hose.
  3. Connect the nozzle to the inflatable object.
  4. Plug the cigarette lighter plug into the vehicle's socket and switch the compressor to ON.
  5. Monitor the pressure gauge until the object reaches the desired firmness.
  6. Switch the compressor to OFF and unplug the power cord.

Safety Instructions

  • Work Area: Keep the area clean, well-lit, and free from flammable liquids, fire, or gas. Keep children away.
  • Electrical: Use only with 12V DC power sources. Do not expose to rain or wet conditions. Keep the power cord away from heat, oil, and sharp edges.
  • Personal: Stay alert and do not operate if tired or under the influence of substances. Ensure the switch is in the OFF position before connecting to power.
  • Usage: Do not inflate tyres beyond the manufacturer's recommended pressure. Use only the included accessories.

Specifications

  • Power Source: DC12V
  • Maximum Pressure: 80PSI / 6BAR
  • Maximum Current: < 10A
  • Cable Length: 2800mm

Troubleshooting

If the compressor runs but does not inflate, ensure the valve connector is fully secured to the tyre valve, check the tyre for leaks, and inspect the hose for breakages or twists.

If the compressor runs slowly, it may have overheated; shut it off and allow it to cool for 20 minutes. Also, check that the vehicle battery voltage is sufficient, ensure the hose is not twisted, and check if the tyre valve is dirty or damaged.
