Quick answers from the manual

Quick answer

  • The hydraulic power unit is an S3 intermittent duty system. It requires 30 seconds to start, 270 seconds to stop, and a maximum continuous working time of 180 seconds to prevent motor damage. p. 2

Key actions

  • Fill hydraulic oil to 3-5 cm below the reservoir top. p. 5
  • Change hydraulic oil 3 months after first use, then every 12 months. p. 6

Problems and fixes

Unit does not rise

Add oil to specified level, wash or replace oil filter, or repair/replace leaking suction pipe.

p. 6

Maintenance and reset

  • Replace hydraulic oil every 12 months or 1500 working hours. p. 7

Quick guide from the manual

The Vevor Hydraulic Power Unit is designed for intermittent use. It operates on an S3 working system: 30 seconds to start, 270 seconds to stop, with a maximum working time of 180 seconds. Exceeding these limits can cause motor damage or short circuits. Always ensure the unit is properly grounded before operation.

Operation

Filling the reservoir: Fill the hydraulic oil until the level is 3 cm to 5 cm below the upper surface of the reservoir. Use ISO46# hydraulic oil.

Rising and dropping: After the motor starts, the gear oil pump works to raise the lifter. To drop the lifter, press down the handle of the manual unloading valve. The dropping speed can be adjusted using the throttle valve; rotating inwards slows it down, while rotating outwards speeds it up.

Pressure adjustment: The system pressure is factory-set to 18-20 MPa. If adjustment is necessary, use the relief valve. This valve also acts as a safety pressure limiting element, so avoid unnecessary adjustments.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Keep actuators and pipelines clean to prevent foreign material from entering the system.
  • Oil change: Replace the hydraulic oil 3 months after the first operation. Subsequently, change the oil every 12 months or after approximately 1500 working hours.
  • Viscosity: Use high-viscosity oil in high-temperature environments and low-viscosity oil in low-temperature environments. The standard viscosity should be 22-46 mm2/s.

Troubleshooting

If the unit does not rise or rises unstably, check for low oil levels, blocked oil filters, or leaking suction pipes. If the unit does not drop, clean the electromagnetic or hand valve filter screens and adjust the throttle valve. If the unit fails to pressurize, inspect the check valve for leaks or contamination.

Technical parameters

The unit features a 2200 W motor with a rotating speed of 3420 RPM. The system pressure ranges from 16 to 20 MPa. Tank capacity varies by model from 10 to 15 Quarts.

Practical help

Common problems

Unit does not rise or rises unstably

Check if oil level is too low, clean or replace the oil filter screen, or check for leaks in the suction pipe.

Unit does not drop or drops unstably

Clean the electromagnetic or hand valve filter screen, or adjust the throttle valve.

Unit does not pressurize

Check the check valve for leaks; wash or replace the oil seal.

Before use

  • Ensure the motor is grounded according to local electrical codes.
  • Fill the reservoir with hydraulic oil to 3-5 cm below the top.
  • Check all motor and electromagnetic valve connections for secure contact.
  • Ensure the hydraulic cylinder and tubing are clean.

Images and diagrams

  • The schematic diagram illustrates the oil inlet, relief valve component, throttle regulating screw, unloading valve component, and check valve component.
  • The commissioning diagram shows how to adjust the throttle valve (clockwise to slow down, counterclockwise to speed up) and the pressure (clockwise to increase, counterclockwise to decrease).

Model compatibility

  • Use ISO46# hydraulic oil for standard conditions.
  • Use ISO68 for temperatures above 50°C.
  • Use ISO32 for extremely cold areas.
