Quick Guide

The VonShef UltraBlend 1000W is a powerful smoothie maker designed for domestic use. Key operational points include:

• Safety First: Never immerse the motor unit in water. The appliance features a thermal cut-out; if it overheats, it will switch off automatically. Allow it to cool for 30 minutes before resuming.
• Operation: The unit has an interlocking safety switch. All components must be correctly assembled and fitted to the motor unit for the blending function to work.
• Usage Limit: Do not operate continuously for more than 1 minute at a time to prevent overheating.
• Cleaning: Hand wash all removable parts. Rinse the blade unit immediately after use to prevent ingredients from drying.

Safety Precautions

Please adhere to the following safety guidelines:

• Do not use the appliance outdoors or on wet surfaces.
• Keep the appliance away from children; it is not a toy.
• Do not use with an external timer or remote-control system.
• Ensure the power supply matches the rating plate.

Before First Use

Before using your blender for the first time:

1. Remove all packaging and labels.
2. Inspect the product for any damage.
3. Wash all removable components (blending jars and blade unit) in warm soapy water and dry thoroughly.
4. Wipe the motor unit with a clean, damp cloth.
5. Warning: Do not immerse the motor unit, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.

Assembly

1. Place the blending jar on a flat surface.
2. Add your ingredients (do not exceed the MAX FILL line).
3. Add liquids (do not exceed the MAX FILL line).
4. Screw the blade unit onto the blending jar securely.
5. Invert the jar and place it onto the motor unit.

Operation

To operate the blender:

• Ensure the motor unit is disconnected from the mains before attaching the jar/blade unit.
• Once assembled, connect to the power supply.
• For standard blending, lock the jar into place.
• For 'pulse-like' blending, push and hold down the blending jar onto the motor unit instead of locking it.
• After blending, remove the jar from the motor unit, invert it, and replace the blade unit with the spill-proof or sip & seal lid.

Cleaning and Maintenance

• Immediate Cleaning: Rinse the blade unit immediately after removing it from the jar to prevent ingredients from drying on the blades.
• Hand Washing: Use warm soapy water and a soft sponge. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive cleaning brush.
• Prohibited: Do not use abrasive cleaning solutions, metal scouring pads, or a dishwasher for any electrical or heating components.
• Storage: The blending jars can be stored in the refrigerator but are not suitable for freezers.
