Quick Guide
This manual provides instructions for the assembly and installation of Ximax designer radiators. Before starting, ensure you have all necessary tools and that the wall is suitable for mounting. The radiator must be installed by a qualified plumber or competent specialist. Always check the specific dimension tables provided in this manual for your model to ensure correct bracket placement.
Safety and Preparation
Before beginning the installation, please observe the following safety guidelines:
- Professional Installation: The radiator must be installed by a qualified plumber or competent specialist.
- Wall Suitability: The supplied wall plugs are suitable for solid masonry only. For other wall types, obtain the correct fixings.
- Safety Gear: We recommend wearing protective clothing, such as gloves and reinforced work shoes, during assembly.
- Site Preparation: Ensure there is enough space and a clean, dry environment. Before drilling, verify that there are no hidden water, electric, or gas lines behind the wall.
- Clearance: Maintain a distance of at least 150 mm between the floor and the bottom of the radiator for efficient heating and ventilation.
Assembly Instructions
Follow these steps to mount your radiator:

- Drilling: Using the dimensions from the assembly dimension table, drill 4 holes with a depth of approximately 60 mm and a diameter of 8 mm.
- Plugs: Insert the supplied wall plugs (C) into the drilled holes (solid walls only).
- Brackets: Attach the screw (D) and washer (E) to the bracket. Do not overtighten the screw.
- Mounting: Hang the radiator on the bracket.
- Valves: Mount the supplied air valve (A) and blanking plug (B) in the upper threaded openings.
- Connection: Connect the flow and return to the selected side using radiator valves (not included). Use PTFE tape or similar sealing product to ensure watertight connections.
Filling and Venting
Proper filling is essential for system efficiency:
- Open the air vent.
- Slightly open the inlet valve (about 10%) while keeping the outlet valve closed.
- Allow the system to fill the radiator slowly.
- Once filled, close the air vent.
- Open both inlet and outlet valves fully and run the heating system for about 2 hours.
- Close both valves, open the air vent to release any remaining air, then close the vent.
Care and Maintenance
To ensure the longevity of your radiator:
- Rinsing: After installation, ensure the system is thoroughly rinsed to flush out metal, flux, and debris.
- Inhibitor: Add a suitable inhibitor to the central heating system when filling to prevent internal rust and limescale.
- Cleaning: Clean the radiator with a soft, damp cloth. Never use scouring pads, scouring agents, or chemical cleaning agents.
Troubleshooting
If the radiator is not heating correctly:
- Cold Pipes: Check and vent the radiator again using the air vent. If the problem persists, the radiator may have been filled too quickly; try running it on its own to force air out.
- Patchy Heat: If the radiator heats unevenly or takes a long time to heat, it may have been installed upside down. Check the baffle position inside the tube.
- Electric Radiators: A small amount of water discharge from the pressure valve on first use is normal. If the radiator does not heat, it may need to be topped up with water.
Practical help
Common problems
Vent the radiator using the air vent. If this fails, the radiator may have been filled too quickly; try running it on its own to force air out or drain and refill slowly.
The radiator may be installed upside down. Check the baffle position inside the horizontal tube; it must be at the bottom.
A small amount of discharge from the pressure valve is normal. If it does not heat up, the radiator may need to be topped up with water.
Before use
- Check packaging for completeness (radiator, air vent, blanking plug, wall plugs, screws, washers, brackets).
- Ensure you have the appropriate connection fittings.
- Verify the wall type is suitable for the supplied masonry plugs.
- Check for hidden water, electric, or gas lines before drilling.
- Prepare necessary tools: Phillips screwdriver, flat screwdriver, tape measure, wrench, drill bit, and drilling machine.

Specs in practice
- Max Operating Pressure
- The maximum pressure the radiator can withstand (4 or 10 bar depending on the specific model).
- Hub Spacing (NA)
- The distance between the connection points on the radiator.
- Drill hole spacing (X/Y)
- The required horizontal (X) and vertical (Y) distance between mounting holes.
Images and diagrams
- Connection schemes show various configurations for vertical and horizontal tube/panel radiators.
- Assembly diagrams illustrate bracket positioning relative to cross tubes or manifolds.
- Dimension tables provide specific spacing requirements for different radiator models.
Model compatibility
- Supplied wall plugs are only suitable for solid masonry.
- Radiator must be installed by a qualified plumber.
- Some radiators are fitted with a baffle and must be installed in a specific orientation.
