Placement for Maximum Accuracy

Proper placement is critical for performance:

  • Display: Place in a dry area free of dirt and dust. It can be used on a tabletop or wall-mounted.
  • Outdoor Sensor: Place outside in a shaded area protected from direct weather elements, 4 to 8 feet above the ground.
  • Guidelines: Keep units out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. Ensure they are within 165 ft (50 m) of each other and at least 3 ft (0.9 m) away from electronic devices to avoid interference.

Using the Thermometer

The device tracks high and low records for temperature and humidity. Press the up arrow button to view high records and the down arrow button to view low records. To reset these records, press and hold the respective arrow button while viewing the record until dashes appear.

Troubleshooting

If the sensor shows no reception, ensure units are within range and away from electronics. If the outdoor temperature is flashing, bring both units indoors, remove batteries, and reinstall them to force a new connection.

Care and Maintenance

Clean both the display and sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use caustic cleaners or abrasives. Keep ventilation ports on the display clear of dust.
