This document serves as a quick installation guide for the Airthereal 18kW water heater. Installation must be performed by a qualified professional in accordance with all national, state, provincial, and local electrical and plumbing codes.

Tools Required

Ensure you have the following tools available before beginning the installation:

• Voltage tester
• Screwdrivers
• Pliers
• Wire strippers

Electrical Requirements

The unit requires specific electrical infrastructure to operate safely and correctly:

• Voltage: 240V (Do not use 120V)
• Circuit Breaker: 2x 40A Double Pole Circuit Breaker
• Wiring: 2x 8AWG/2 Wires

Installation Steps

1. Turn off the power at the breaker box before starting any work.
2. Take each wire pair and connect them to one breaker. Ensure that each breaker is connected with one black wire and one red wire.
3. Using a suitable wire gauge that meets all applicable electrical codes for the size of the breakers used, run the correct sets of wire from the main breaker panel to the tankless water heater.
4. A separate ground conductor is required.
5. Double-check the electrical connections to make sure they are correct and that all wire connections are tight and secure.

Safety Warnings

Warning: Under no circumstances should you attempt to clean, install, inspect, repair, disassemble, or otherwise service this water heater without first shutting off all power to the unit directly at the circuit breaker box. Serious bodily injury or death could occur if you ignore this warning. If you do not have the correct infrastructure, you will need a professional to install a new outlet, breaker, and/or wiring.
