The AMC CSUB is a compact active subwoofer designed for home or public address systems. It features a 10-inch low-frequency driver and a 200W Class-D amplifier. The unit includes versatile input options, including RCA line-level and 100V level inputs, along with adjustable DSP-based crossover and phase controls.

Safety instructions

• Grounding: This is a Class I construction device and must be connected to a power outlet with a protective grounding connection.
• Environment: Do not use near water (bathtubs, sinks, swimming pools) or heat sources (radiators, vents).
• Hearing Safety: This product can produce high sound levels; avoid prolonged operation at high volumes to prevent hearing loss.
• Service: Do not remove the cover. Servicing should only be performed by qualified personnel.
• Power: Unplug the power cord to disconnect from the grid. Ensure the power outlet is easily accessible.

Rear panel controls

The rear panel contains the following controls and connections:

• Power mode switch: Selects between AUTO (standby after 20 mins of no signal) and ON (always active).
• LED power indicator: Red indicates standby; Green indicates active.
• Phase degree selector: Adjusts audio signal phase (0° – 180°).
• Crossover frequency selector: Adjusts the DSP low-pass filter (40 – 120 Hz).
• Volume control: Adjusts the output level.
• Line level input: RCA-type input for line-level signals.
• 100 V level input: For direct connection to 100V background music lines.
• Power button: Main power switch.

Operation

Power Mode: In AUTO mode, the subwoofer enters standby if no audio signal is detected for 20 minutes. It takes approximately 5 seconds to wake up from standby. Set the switch to ON to keep the power supply active at all times.

Input Connections: The subwoofer features two audio inputs linked to different DSP settings. Important: Do not use RCA and Hi-level inputs at the same time to prevent EQ correction switching issues.

Phase and Crossover: It is recommended to start with the phase at 0° and adjust as necessary for the best bass performance in your listening environment. The crossover can be tuned to match your main speakers.
