This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient use of the Amica KF 1011 series electric kettle. Before using the appliance for the first time, rinse the kettle and boil clean water several times, filling to the maximum level each time, to ensure the interior is clean.

Safety Instructions

• Do not touch the kettle body while in use; use only the handle.
• Keep the appliance out of reach of children.
• Do not fill the kettle above the maximum water level mark.
• Use the kettle only with the supplied base.
• Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
• Ensure the lid is properly closed before boiling.
• Do not place the kettle on hot surfaces.

Appliance Construction

The kettle features a body, water level indicator, handle, lid opening button, lid, on/off switch, base, and power cord.

Operation

Place the base on a stable, level surface. Fill the kettle with the required amount of clean water, ensuring it is between the minimum and maximum levels. Place the kettle on the base, connect the plug to an electrical outlet, and move the on/off switch to the 'on' position. The kettle will switch off automatically once the water boils. You can also switch it off manually at any time.

Cleaning and Descaling

Regularly remove limescale deposits to maintain performance. If the kettle switches off before the water boils, it indicates that descaling is required. You may use standard descaling agents or a mixture of water and lemon juice. Boil the mixture, wait 15 minutes, and repeat the process if necessary. Always disconnect the power and allow the kettle to cool completely before cleaning. Do not immerse the base or kettle in liquid.
