The ASRock iBOX 1200 Series is a barebone system, meaning it does not include memory, hard drive, or mSATA SSD. Users must install these components before operation. For optimal cooling performance, it is recommended to keep the unit in a vertical position, especially if a 2.5-inch HDD is installed.
Product Overview
The front and rear panels of the iBOX 1200 Series feature the following connectivity options:
- Front/Side: Power Button, USB 3.2 Gen2 (Type A), USB 3.2 Gen2 (Type C), Audio (Mic-in, Line-out), COM Port.
- Rear: DC-IN, DisplayPort, HDMI, USB 2.0 (Type A), USB 3.2 Gen2 (Type A), RJ-45 (2.5G LAN).
Note: The DisplayPort only supports DP to D-Sub dongles. It does not support DP to HDMI or DP to DVI dongles. Please connect your monitor to the HDMI port when installing the OS.
Installation Guide
Before performing any installation, ensure the system is powered off and disconnected from the power adapter.



WiFi Module Installation
- Locate the WiFi Module slot on the motherboard.
- Carefully insert the WiFi Module into the slot.
- Tighten the screw to secure the WiFi Module to the motherboard.
M.2 SSD Installation
- Locate the M.2 slot on the motherboard.
- Carefully insert the M.2 SSD into the slot.
- Tighten the screw to secure the M.2 SSD to the motherboard.
Memory (SO-DIMM) Installation
- Insert the DDR4 SO-DIMM (1.2V) memory modules into the slot at a 30-degree angle.
- Push down until the modules snap into place.
Note: For dual-channel configuration, you must install identical pairs (same brand, speed, size, and chip-type).
2.5-inch Hard Drive Installation
- Remove the four screws on the bottom case and remove the bottom panel.
- Attach the HDD cage to the bottom panel and secure it using the four screws.
- Connect the SATA Data and Power Cable to the HDD.
- Connect the SATA Cable to the connector on the motherboard.
- Reinstall the bottom panel.
Mounting Options
The iBOX 1200 Series supports various mounting configurations:
- VESA Mount: Attach the VESA bracket to the rear of a compatible display (75mm x 75mm or 100mm x 100mm) and slide the iBOX unit into place.
- Wall Mount: Attach the wall mounting brackets to the base of the unit and secure them with screws.
- DIN Rail Mount: Attach the optional DIN Rail Bracket to the base of the unit and secure with screws.
Warranty Information
The warranty covers the host (excluding casing) for 1 year. The transformer (including plug), remote control, and wireless module are also covered for 1 year. The warranty does not cover the casing, CD drive, metal frame, fastenings, screws, or packaging accessories. Data stored on the product may be lost during repair or re-formatting; please back up your data regularly.
Practical help
Common problems
Keep the iBOX 1200 Series in a vertical position to ensure better cooling performance.
DisplayPort only supports DP to D-Sub dongles. Do not use DP to HDMI or DP to DVI dongles. Use the HDMI port for OS installation.
Always back up your data regularly, as repair work or re-formatting the hard drive may result in data loss.

- Ensure you have compatible DDR4 SO-DIMM (1.2V) memory modules.
- Verify you have the necessary mounting brackets if you intend to mount the device.
- Back up all important data before starting any hardware installation.
