This document provides essential installation and connection guidelines for the Audibax Horn 10T and Horn 20T speakers. Installation must be performed by a qualified technician who has knowledge of the techniques and regulations regarding mounting and hanging speaker boxes. The speakers are designed for 100V line systems. Ensure the amplifier is switched off before making any connections.
Connections
Before connecting, check the amplifier specifications to ensure compatibility with the speaker's power rating and impedance. Use only high-quality speaker cables suitable for the power and distance between the amplifier and the speaker.
- Polarity: Always connect the positive (+) terminal of the amplifier to the positive (+) terminal of the speaker. Inverted connections will diminish sound quality.
- Parallel Connection: Connecting multiple speakers in parallel changes the impedance (e.g., from 8 ohms to 4 ohms). Ensure your amplifier can handle the resulting impedance. Connecting more than two speakers in parallel may drop the impedance below 4 ohms, which most amplifiers cannot handle.

Follow these safety precautions to prevent damage to the equipment and ensure user safety:
- Installation: The box must be installed by a qualified technician. Ensure the mounting surface is stable and solid.
- Mounting: Use only strong and approved mounting material. Ensure no one is standing below the mounting area during installation. Do not exceed 60kg of weight if stacking boxes.
- Environment: For indoor use only. If used outdoors, ensure no humidity can enter the box. Do not place liquids on the box.
- Operation: Do not overload the speaker. Connect only to a good quality amplifier to avoid damage from direct voltage or clipping (overdrive).
- Fire Hazard: Do not place open fire sources (e.g., candles) on or next to the box.
- Maintenance: Never attempt to repair the unit yourself; it contains no user-serviceable parts.

Practical help
Common problems
Diminished sound quality
Check for inverted polarity. Ensure the positive (+) wire from the amplifier connects to the positive (+) terminal of the speaker.
Amplifier overload or failure
Check the total impedance when connecting multiple speakers in parallel. If the impedance drops below 4 ohms, the amplifier may not be able to handle the load.
Speaker damage
Avoid overloading the speaker and ensure the amplifier is of good quality to prevent clipping (overdrive) which can damage the woofer, tweeter, and horn.
Before use
- Verify that the amplifier specifications match the speaker's power rating and impedance.
- Ensure the amplifier is switched off before connecting or disconnecting speakers.
