This steam iron is designed for household use. Before first use, remove all labels and stickers. The iron has been factory-tested, so residual water in the tank is normal. Always use distilled, purified, or filtered water to prevent mineral buildup. Do not use perfumes, oils, or scented additives. Always stand the iron on its heel rest when not in use.
Getting to Know Your Iron
The iron features a soleplate, spray nozzle, water inlet cover, variable steam knob, steam burst button, spray button, cord sleeve, measuring cup, indicator light, temperature control dial, water tank, and a self-clean button.
How to Use
Filling with Water: Tilt the iron and pour water into the inlet using the measuring cup until it reaches the MAX level. Do not overfill.
Setting the Temperature: Plug in the iron. The indicator light will turn green for standby. Turn the temperature control dial to align the desired setting with the temperature marker. The light turns red while heating and green when the set temperature is reached.
Ironing Modes
- Steam Ironing: Ensure the tank is filled to MAX. Set the temperature dial to the steam zone (between the steam icon and MAX). Slide the variable steam knob to the desired steam level.
- Burst of Steam: Use only within the steam temperature zone. Press the steam burst button at 5-second intervals.
- Vertical Ironing: Ideal for hanging clothes or drapes. Hold the iron vertically 15-30mm away from the fabric and press the steam burst button.
- Spraying Mist: Press the spray button to dampen tough wrinkles. Do not use on silk.
Auto Shutoff
The iron features a 3-way auto shutoff system for safety:
- Vertical: Shuts off after 8 minutes of inactivity.
- Horizontal: Shuts off after 30 seconds of inactivity.
- Tipped: Shuts off after 30 seconds of inactivity.
The iron will beep 6 times and the indicator light will flash when shutoff occurs. Pick up the iron to resume heating.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Auto-Cleaning: Perform every two weeks. Fill the tank to MAX, set the steam knob to the closed position, and set the temperature to MAX. Heat for 3 minutes, unplug, and hold over a sink with the soleplate facing down. Press and hold the self-clean button while gently shaking the iron.
Cleaning the Exterior: Ensure the iron is unplugged and cool. Wipe with a soft cloth dampened with water and mild detergent. Do not immerse in water.
Soleplate Care: Clean by ironing over a damp, 100% cotton cloth on the Cotton-Linen setting to remove residue.
Troubleshooting
If water drips from the soleplate, the iron may not be hot enough or the burst button is being used too frequently. If brown streaks appear, the soleplate may be dirty or you are using water additives; perform a self-cleaning operation. If there is no steam, ensure the water tank is filled and the steam knob is set correctly.
