  • Placement: Do not install in bathrooms, laundry areas, or near water. Do not locate immediately below a socket-outlet.
  • Clearance: Do not block air intakes or exhausts. Do not use on soft surfaces like beds. Keep flammable materials away.
  • Operation: The unit is hot during use. Do not touch bare skin to hot surfaces. Always unplug when not in use.

  1. Position the mantel near the final location, ensuring access to the back.
  2. Unpack the fireplace and position it behind the mantel.
  3. With an assistant, lift the appliance and slide it into the mantel opening. Ensure it is centered.
  4. Secure the unit using the provided mounting brackets and screws.
  5. L-Bracket Installation: If the clearance between the side panel of the insert and the mantel is less than 3.4 inches, use the provided L-brackets to secure the insert to the back panel of the furniture. Align the large hole on the long side of the bracket with the half-screwed screws on the fireplace, level it with the cabinet, and secure with screws.

Operating Instructions

The fireplace can be controlled via the touchscreen panel on the top-right or the included remote control.

  • Power: Touch any button to wake the panel. Press the Power button to turn the unit on or off. The unit has a memory function for settings when turned off.
  • Flame: Press the Flame button to cycle through 4 brightness levels (L4-L1) and OFF.
  • Heat: Press the Heat button to turn heat on/off. Press and hold for 5 seconds to adjust temperature. There are 11 settings: 82°F-ON, 64°F, 66°F, 68°F, 70°F, 72°F, 74°F, 76°F, 78°F, 80°F (27°C-ON, 18°C-26°C).
  • Timer: Adjustable from 1 to 9 hours and OFF.
  • Temperature Unit Conversion: With the heater on, press and hold the Power button for 5 seconds to switch between °F and °C.
  • Heater Lock: Press and hold the Heater button for 10 seconds to lock/unlock the heater function. The ember bed will flash 6 times to confirm.

Infrared Sensor

The fireplace features infrared sensors on both sides of the front outlet. If the sensors are blocked (e.g., by furniture doors), the fireplace will automatically shut down and the control panel will become unresponsive. Ensure the area is clear and press the power button to restart.

Maintenance and Cleaning

  • Cleaning Trim: Use a soft cloth dampened with a citrus oil-based product. Buff with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use brass polish or household cleaners.
  • Maintenance: The fan and flame generator motors are pre-lubricated. Periodic vacuuming of the fan/heater unit is recommended. Always turn off and unplug the unit before cleaning.
