The BERG Rally Jeep Cherokee is a pedal go-kart designed for children. Adult assembly is required before the first use. Key safety rules include: do not use on public roads, do not make sharp turns at high speeds to prevent tipping, and ensure the user weight does not exceed 60 kg. Always supervise children under 12 years of age.
Assembly
Follow the step-by-step diagrams provided in the manual (pages 4-13) to assemble the go-kart. Ensure all bolts and nuts are securely tightened. Use only original BERG accessories.

Safety Guidelines
- Before Use: Adjust the seat and steering wheel to the user's size. Check that steering, brakes, and tires are functioning correctly. Ensure all bolts and nuts are fixed.
- During Use: Ride at a controlled speed. Always use the handbrake or back-pedal brake to stop. Do not operate electrical parts while driving. Ride on smooth surfaces without obstacles.
- Trailer Use: If a trailer is attached, remember that braking distance increases. Do not attach trailers on steep slopes. No passengers are allowed in the trailer.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance is essential for safety and longevity.
Maintenance Schedule
- Daily: Check tires for wear and correct pressure.
- Monthly: Clean and check all nuts and bolts. Check chain tension. Lubricate moving parts. Check steering alignment.
- Half-Yearly: Check bearings, hub, sprockets, and axles.
- Yearly: Clean plastic parts and check for damage.
Chain Tensioning
The go-kart has two chains. Always tension the rear/short chain first.
- Rear Chain: Remove the protective hood, loosen hub nuts, move the hub forward until the chain has the correct tension (6mm play in the middle), and retighten the nuts.
- Front Chain: Loosen the crank axle bolts, turn the tensioning nut clockwise to tension, and retighten the bolts (1cm play in the middle).
Crank Adjustment
After the first few days of intensive use or two weeks of normal use, tighten the left and right crank mounting bolts to a maximum of 30Nm to prevent play and damage.

Warranty
The frame has a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase. Other parts also have a 2-year warranty, excluding wear-and-tear items like chains and tires. Warranty claims require the original purchase receipt and the product serial number found on the frame.
