The Bissell DeepClean ProHeat 2X Professional PET is a high-tech home cleaning system designed for carpets and upholstery. Before use, ensure you have genuine Bissell 2X formula. Always vacuum the area before deep cleaning. The machine requires assembly upon arrival and regular maintenance of the tank, brushes, and filters to ensure optimal performance.
Assembly
The unit comes in four components: Upper Handle, Lower Base, Upper Hose Rack, and Upper Tool Holder. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver.
- Slide the upper handle onto the lower base.
- Secure with 2 screws in the marked holes.
- Attach the upper tool holder by snapping the bottom half in first, then the top.
- Place the upper hose rack on the back of the handle and secure with a screw.
- Snap tools onto the holder and wrap the power cord and flex hose.
Operations
Filling the 2-in-1 Water Tank:
- Remove the tank by lifting the carry handle.
- Unlatch the top from the bottom.
- Pour 5 oz of Bissell 2X formula into the bladder.
- Fill the rest with hot tap water (max 140°F/60°C). Do not boil or microwave water.
- Secure the latches on both sides before replacing the tank.
Carpet Cleaning:
- Plug into a grounded outlet and turn on the power switch.
- Recline the handle using the lever at the back.
- Press the trigger to spray solution while making slow forward and backward passes.
- Release the trigger and make slow passes to suction up dirty water.
Maintenance & Care
Clean-up:
- Empty the tank and rinse the Pet Hair Basket.
- Check the red lint filter near the air duct for debris.
- Flush the machine by running clean water through the system after cleaning.
Brush and Belt Maintenance:
- If the brush stops turning, check for a broken belt or tripped circuit breaker.
- To replace belts or brushes, remove the nozzle and pivot arm.
- Follow the specific steps on pages 14-15 for belt removal and brush replacement.
Troubleshooting
If you experience reduced spray, check if the tank is empty or not seated correctly. If the brush does not turn, check for a broken belt or foreign objects in the brush roll. Always unplug the machine before performing maintenance.
