Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your cleaner:

• Insert the handle into the base until it clicks.
• Attach the accessory rack to the handle.
• Secure the handle with the provided screw using a screwdriver.
• Wrap the power cord around the cord wrap hooks.
• Attach the clean water tank to the unit.

Filling the tank

To prepare the machine for cleaning:

1. Remove the clean water tank from the unit.
2. Open the tank cap.
3. Fill the tank with water and the appropriate Bissell cleaning formula (Wash & Remove, Wash & Protect, Wash & Refresh, or Oxygen Boost).
4. Secure the cap and place the tank back onto the unit.

Operating modes

The cleaner offers different modes for various cleaning needs:

• Express Clean: Designed for faster drying (approx. 30 minutes).
• Deep Clean: Standard cleaning mode.
• Max Clean: For heavy-duty cleaning.

To operate, plug the machine into a grounded outlet, select the mode, press the power button, and use the trigger on the handle to dispense solution while moving the machine forward and backward.

Using tools

To use the hose and tools:

1. Ensure the machine is powered off.
2. Attach the hose to the accessory port on the machine.
3. Connect the desired tool to the end of the hose.
4. Press the trigger to spray solution and clean upholstery or stairs.

Emptying the dirty water tank

When the tank is full:

• Power off and unplug the machine.
• Remove the dirty water tank from the unit.
• Unlatch the tank lid and empty the dirty water into a sink.
• Rinse the tank and replace it securely.

Maintenance and cleaning

Regular maintenance is required to keep the machine functioning correctly:

• Brush Roll: The brush roll can be removed for cleaning. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws on the side plate, then remove the brush roll to clear debris.
• Nozzle: The nozzle can be removed and rinsed under water to remove hair and debris.
• Storage: Always empty and rinse tanks before storing the machine.
