Important information about Blustream 1GbE switches

This document serves as a compatibility guide for Blustream AV over IP systems. It lists officially recommended 1GbE network switches and outlines the technical requirements for using switches not explicitly listed. Please note that Blustream cannot guarantee performance if switch firmware or custom configurations are altered.

Note: The Blustream IP500UHD and IP510UHD series utilize SDVoE technology and require a 10Gb network infrastructure. These systems are not compatible with the 1Gb switches listed in this document.

Requirements for non-listed switches

If you choose to use a switch not listed above, it must support the following features to ensure seamless operation within a single switch system:

L2 minimum
1GbE Managed
Multicasting capabilities
IGMP Snooping / IGMP Querier Election
Immediate / Fast Leave
QoS (Quality of Service)
Jumbo Frames / Jumbo Packets / MTU

Video distribution not working with IP500UHD/IP510UHD

These systems require 10Gb network infrastructure; 1Gb switches are not compatible.

Switch not on the approved list

Ensure the switch supports L2, 1GbE Managed, Multicasting, IGMP Snooping, QoS, and Jumbo Frames.

Before use

Verify if your AV over IP system requires 1Gb or 10Gb infrastructure.
Check if your switch model is on the Blustream approved list.
