This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of the Bosch AdvancedGrind 18V-80 and UniversalGrind 18V-75 cordless angle grinders. Always read the full safety instructions before use.
Device description
The angle grinder is designed for cutting and brushing metal and stone, as well as roughing metal. Key features include speed preselection (AdvancedGrind 18V-80), constant electronic control, soft start, restart protection, and overload protection.

Assembly
Protective guard: Ensure the correct guard is installed for the intended application (grinding vs. cutting). The guard must be securely attached and positioned for maximum safety.

Auxiliary handle: Always use the auxiliary handle for safe operation. The vibration-damped handle (10) reduces vibration for more comfortable use.
Abrasive tools: Ensure the grinding/cutting disc is mounted correctly and can rotate freely. Use the clamping nut (18) or the quick-clamping nut (19) to secure the disc.
Operation
Switching on/off: Push the on/off switch (4) forward to start. Push forward and down to lock it in position. Release or press the back of the switch to turn off.
Speed preselection (AdvancedGrind 18V-80): Use the thumbwheel (7) to select the required speed based on the material and application.
Rough grinding: Use the protective guard for grinding (11). Maintain a 30° to 40° angle for best results.
Cutting: Use the protective guard for cutting (12) or the protective guard for grinding (11) with the cover for cutting (13). Ensure sufficient dust extraction when cutting stone.
Maintenance
Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance or changing tools. Keep the power tool and ventilation slots clean for safe and efficient operation.
