Product Description

The planer features an adjustable cutting depth (0–2.6 mm), a rebate depth of 0–9 mm, and a maximum planing width of 82 mm. It includes a selectable chip ejector (left or right) and a parking rest to protect the workpiece when the tool is set down.

Fitting the Planer Blades

The tool can be fitted with HSS or HM/TC planer blades. Always change both blades simultaneously to avoid imbalance and vibration. Note: Do not pick up blades by the cutting edges.

  • Removing HSS Blades: Turn the blade head until the clamping jaw is parallel to the base plate. Unscrew the three fastening screws and remove the clamping jaw. Push the retaining clip and blade out.
  • Fitting HSS Blades: Use the setting gauge to adjust the blade height. Ensure the retaining clip engages in the groove. Align the blade with the center of the base plate and tighten the fastening screws in the specified sequence.
  • Changing HM/TC Blades: These blades are reversible. If both edges are blunt, replace the blades. They cannot be resharpened.

Operation

Setting the cutting depth: Use the knob to adjust the depth between 0–2.6 mm.

Switching on/off: Press the lock-off switch first, then press and hold the on/off switch. Release the on/off switch to stop the tool.

Planing procedure: Place the front section of the base plate on the workpiece. Switch on the tool and guide it over the surface with uniform feed. For high-quality surfaces, use a low feed rate and apply pressure to the middle of the base plate.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Always remove the battery before performing maintenance. Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean. The parking rest should be kept clear and cleaned regularly. If the carbon brushes are worn, the tool will switch off automatically; send it to an authorized service center.

Changing the Drive Belt: Remove the belt cover, take off the worn belt, clean the belt wheels, and install the new belt, ensuring it runs in the longitudinal grooves.
