The Bosch TWK 7101 is a high-quality electric kettle designed for household use. It features a 1.7L capacity, an illuminated ON/OFF switch, and a removable limescale filter. Always use the kettle with the provided base.

Safety instructions

• Never immerse the appliance, base, or mains cable in water.
• Do not place the base or kettle on or near hot surfaces.
• Only use the kettle with the lid engaged.
• Do not fill above the 'max.' marking to avoid boiling water splashes.
• Keep children under 8 years away from the appliance and cable.

Before using for the first time

1. Remove any stickers or film.
2. Unroll the required length of cable from the cable tidy and plug it in.
3. Fill the kettle with water, bring to a boil, and discard. Repeat this process to ensure cleanliness.
4. Add a tablespoon of white vinegar during the first boil.

Boiling water

• Fill the kettle with fresh water through the spout or the open lid (press lid release button).
• Check the water level indicator; fill between 0.3L and 1.7L.
• Close the lid until it locks and place the kettle on the base.
• Press the ON/OFF switch down; the switch will light up.
• The kettle switches off automatically once the water has boiled.
• You can switch off the kettle at any time by pulling the switch up.

Cleaning and maintenance

• Unplug the appliance before cleaning.
• Clean the exterior of the kettle and base with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive agents.
• Remove the limescale filter, soak in a little vinegar, and rinse with clear water.
• Rinse the kettle and filter with clear water.

Descaling

Regular descaling extends the life of your kettle, ensures proper function, and saves energy.

• Fill the kettle with water up to the 1.7 mark and bring to a boil.
• Add a small amount of white vinegar and let it sit for several hours, or use a commercial descaling agent according to the manufacturer's instructions.
• Rinse the kettle and filter with clear water.

Troubleshooting

• Appliance does not heat: The overheat control has tripped. Let the kettle cool down for some time before switching it on again.
• Unit turns off before boiling: The kettle contains too much scale. Descale the kettle as per instructions.
