Safety warnings
- Regular cleaning: Clean the clamping set, spindle, and cutting disc regularly.
- Dimensions: Ensure the bore in the cutting disc matches the hub flange. Never enlarge the bore.
- Speed: The permitted maximum speed of the cutting disc must be at least equal to the maximum speed of the power tool.
Mounting and inspection
- Inspection: Check the cutting disc before every use. Do not use damaged, out-of-round, or vibrating discs.
- Test run: Perform a test run for at least 30 seconds without load before starting work.
Operation
- Technique: Do not press or tilt the disc during cutting. Work with moderate feed adapted to the material.
- Angle: Work only at right angles and in a straight line. Curved cuts can cause cracks or segment breaks.
- Cooling: Allow discs to cool before touching them, as they become very hot during operation.
- Transport: Remove the cutting disc before transporting the power tool to prevent damage.
Maintenance
- Sharpening: Discs are self-sharpening. If work rate decreases or sparking increases, sharpen the disc by making short cuts in abrasive material (e.g., sandstone).

- Equipment: Always use a protective guard, guide, and dust extraction device.
- Technique: Avoid deep cuts. Always feed the power tool against the direction of rotation to prevent uncontrolled ejection from the cut.
- Wet cutting: If wet cutting is permitted, ensure an uninterrupted water supply.
