Setting Up the Eyecup

To achieve the maximum field of view, the rubber eyecup should be adjusted based on whether you wear eyeglasses. If you do not wear glasses, fold the eyecup up. If you do wear glasses, fold the eyecup down to ensure proper eye relief.

Adjusting Focus

To obtain a sharp image, rotate the eyepiece until the view is clear. If you wear eyeglasses for nearsightedness, keep them on while using the monocular to ensure you can achieve a sharp focus at infinity.

Care and Maintenance

Handle the monocular with care to prevent the optics from becoming misaligned. When not in use, store the device in the provided soft case. Routine maintenance is minimal, focusing primarily on keeping the objective lens and eyepiece clean. Avoid touching the glass surfaces, as fingerprints contain mild acids that can damage optical coatings. If the lenses become dirty, use a high-quality lens cleaning kit, such as the Celestron Lens Cleaning Kit (#93576). Never attempt to disassemble or clean the interior of the monocular.
