Setup and Assembly
Before operating the generator, complete the following assembly steps:

- Unpacking: Open the shipping carton carefully.
- Vibration Mounts: Attach the vibration mounts to the generator frame as indicated in the assembly instructions.
Preparation
Proper preparation is required before the first start:


- Add Engine Oil: Use 5W-30 oil. The capacity is up to 13.5 fl. oz. (400 ml). Do not overfill.
- Add Fuel: Use gasoline. Do not use E15 or E85 fuel blends.
Safety and Placement
Warning: Never operate the generator in enclosed areas, such as inside a house or garage. Always move the generator to an open, outdoor area and point the exhaust away from structures. Keep all objects at least 5 feet (1.5 m) away from the generator to prevent fire hazards from muffler heat and exhaust gases.

Starting Procedure


- Ensure no electrical devices are plugged into the generator. Never start or stop the generator with electrical devices connected or turned on.
- Turn the fuel dial to the RUN position.
- Move the choke lever to the CHOKE position.
- Pull the recoil starter to start the engine.
- Once the engine is running, move the choke lever back to the RUN position.
- Connect your electrical loads.
