The Clarke Devil 6015 is a forced air electric fan heater designed for commercial and industrial use. It is not intended for domestic use or heating habitable areas. The unit requires a 400V, 3-phase 50Hz power supply and must be connected via a suitably fused isolator switch.
Safety Rules
- Electrical Safety: The heater must be earthed. Never modify the plug. Do not use the cable for pulling or unplugging the heater.
- Operation Safety: Do not use in small rooms occupied by persons unable to leave. Do not use near flammable materials, liquids, or gases.
- Clearance: Allow at least 2 meters of clearance from walls, furniture, or combustible materials.
- Environment: Do not use in areas of high condensation or where the heater could get wet.
Positioning
The heater is designed for indoor use only. Place it on a horizontal, stable surface where it cannot topple over. Ensure the air inlet and outlet grilles are not blocked. Do not place the heater immediately below an electrical outlet.
Operation
The heater features a thermostat that maintains a pre-selected temperature between 0 and 40°C. It includes a manually reset thermal cutout for safety in case of overheating.

To operate:
- Place the heater on a firm, level surface.
- Plug into the mains and set the thermostatic control to the maximum setting.
- Switch the heater to the desired power setting (Fan only, or various heat levels).
- Once the room reaches the desired temperature, turn the thermostatic control slowly anti-clockwise until the heater switches off. It will then cycle automatically.
- Switching off: Run the unit in FAN ONLY mode for approximately 10 minutes to cool the heating elements before switching off completely.
Electrical Connections
The Devil 6015 must be connected to a 400V, 3-phase 50Hz supply. It cannot be operated from a single-phase supply. The user should use a connecting lead compatible with the appliance socket, requiring 5 pins (including master earth pin), rated at 32A/6h, and IP44 class or better.

Maintenance
Always allow the heater to cool down for at least 10 minutes before performing maintenance. Disconnect from the mains supply first.

- Cleaning: Use compressed air to clean the unit (wear a dust mask). Wipe dirt with a damp cloth, ensuring no moisture enters the heater.
- Inspection: Regularly check the mains cable for heat damage (stiffening or cracking).
- Storage: Store in a dry, well-ventilated place.
Troubleshooting
If the heater fails to operate, check the plug connection, fuse, and power supply. If the thermal cutout has operated, allow the unit to cool for 10 minutes, then press the reset button using a suitable tool. If the unit makes abnormal noise, ensure it is on a level surface.
