This document provides installation and adjustment instructions for the Danfoss CPCE Hot Gas Bypass Regulator and the LG Liquid Gas Mixer accessory. The CPCE regulator is compatible with the following refrigerants:

Installation and Brazing
When installing the unit, ensure proper brazing techniques are used. The manual specifies the use of 15% Ag (silver) brazing material. Ensure the system is clean and free of debris before installation.
Tightening Torque
Important: Tightening torque must be strictly respected, particularly when the system is used with flammable refrigerants. The required torque is 4 Nm, which corresponds to finger-tight plus a 1/4 turn.
Adjustment Procedure
The regulator can be adjusted to meet system requirements. A 360-degree turn of the adjustment screw corresponds to a pressure change of approximately 1 bar (15 psi). The factory setting is typically 0.4 bar (6 psig).

Common problems
Leakage at connections
Ensure tightening torque is exactly 4 Nm (finger tight + 1/4 turn). This is critical for flammable refrigerants.
Incorrect pressure regulation
Adjust the setting screw. A 360-degree rotation changes the pressure by approximately 1 bar (15 psi).
Before use
- Verify that the refrigerant used is on the approved list (e.g., R290, R600a, R134a).
- Ensure system operating pressure does not exceed 28 bar (405 psig).
- Check that operating temperatures are within the -50°C to 140°C range.
- Prepare 15% Ag brazing material for installation.
- Have 14 mm, 22 mm, and 32 mm wrenches available for installation.
