Technical specifications

  • Max Temperature: 140 °C (285 °F)
  • Min Temperature: -50 °C (-60 °F)
  • PS/MWP (Maximum Working Pressure): 28 bar pe (405 psig)
  • Pmax Test Pressure: 31 bar pe (450 psig)
  • Pressure Setting: 0.4 bar (6 psig)
  • Adjustment: 360° rotation equals approximately 1 bar (15 psi)

Refrigerant compatibility

The CPCE regulator is compatible with the following refrigerants: R22, R1270, R134a, R290, R404A, R407A, R407C, R407F, R448A, R449A, R450A, R452A, R507A, R513A, R600, and R600a. For a complete list of approved refrigerants and individual code numbers, visit www.products.danfoss.com.

Installation and brazing

When installing the unit, ensure the correct wrench sizes are used: 14 mm (9/16 in.), 32 mm (1 1/4 in.), and 22 mm (7/8 in.). When brazing, use 15% Ag (silver) solder. Tightening torque must be strictly respected, particularly when the system is used with flammable refrigerants. The required torque is 4 Nm (finger tight + 1/4 turn).

Common problems

Incorrect tightening torque

Ensure the unit is tightened to 4 Nm (finger tight + 1/4 turn), especially critical for flammable refrigerants.

Before use

  • Verify that the refrigerant used is on the approved list (e.g., R22, R290, R600a).
  • Ensure system pressure does not exceed the PS/MWP of 28 bar (405 psig).
  • Check that the operating temperature is within the range of -50 °C to 140 °C.
  • Prepare 15% Ag solder for installation.
