Installation Instructions for Danfoss VLT Memory Module MCM 102

The VLT Memory Module MCM 102 is designed for use with the VLT Midi Drive FC 280 frequency converter. It stores motor data, firmware, and parameter settings, allowing for easy transfer of configurations to new frequency converters of the same power size. The module can be inserted or removed during operation, but it only becomes active after a power cycle.

Product Overview

The memory module is an optional component. Please note that data and parameter settings on the module are encoded and protected from direct viewing. To access or transfer files, a separate memory module programmer (ordering number 134B0792) is required.

Installation

1. Remove the front cover: Use a screwdriver to remove the plastic front cover of the frequency converter.
2. Open the container: Open the lid of the memory module container located inside the converter.
3. Install the module: Plug the memory module into the designated socket.
4. Close the container: Close the lid of the memory module container.
5. Replace the cover: Mount the plastic front cover back onto the frequency converter.

Operation

Once the frequency converter powers up, the data on the converter is automatically stored into the memory module. Ensure that personnel mounting or dismounting the module are familiar with the safety instructions described in the VLT Midi Drive FC 280 Operating Instructions.
