The Dogtra 200C is a training e-collar system designed for dog obedience. Before use, ensure the unit is fully charged for 2 hours. The system is operated using a handheld transmitter and a receiver collar. Always start training at the lowest stimulation level and adjust based on your dog's reaction.
Overview of the system
The system consists of a handheld transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter features a Rheostat Dial for intensity control, a Pager button for vibration, and Nick/Constant stimulation buttons. The receiver is waterproof and features contact points that must be in firm contact with the dog's skin.

Turning the system on and off
The receiver is turned on and off using a magnetic red dot system. To turn the receiver on, place the red dot on the back of the handheld transmitter against the red dot on the receiver. Hold them together until the LED light on the receiver turns on. Repeat the process to turn the receiver off; the LED will turn red briefly to indicate it is off. The transmitter does not have an on/off button and activates only when buttons are pressed.

Receiver fitting
Proper fit is essential for effective training. The contact points must press firmly against the dog's skin. You should be able to fit two fingers underneath the collar strap. The best location is on either side of the dog's windpipe. Reposition the receiver every few hours if worn for long periods and remove it after 8 hours of usage to prevent skin irritation.

Stimulation and operation
The 200C features 100 stimulation levels controlled by the front-facing Rheostat Dial (0 is lowest, 100 is highest). Stimulation types include:
- Nick: A single rapid pulse of electrical stimulation.
- Constant: Continuous stimulation for as long as the button is pressed, up to 12 seconds.
- Pager: Vibration for as long as the button is pressed, up to 12 seconds.
Charging the battery
The system uses lithium polymer batteries. To charge:

- Open the rubber plugs on the battery charging receptacles.
- Plug the charging cable into the unit and a 120-volt wall outlet (or appropriate auto/European charger).
- The indicator lights will glow red during charging and turn green when fully charged (approx. 2 hours).
- After charging, securely replace the rubber plugs.
Maintenance and troubleshooting
Regularly inspect the unit for damage to the casing. Rinse the receiver and clean off dirt or debris after training sessions. If the unit is not working, check the following: ensure the receiver and transmitter are on, verify the collar is tight enough, check if the contact points are touching the skin, and ensure the battery is charged. If the unit is not holding a charge, inspect the charging port for dirt or a damaged pin.

Practical help
Common problems
Ensure the receiver and transmitter are on, the collar is tight enough for contact points to touch skin, and the intensity level is increased gradually.
Your tolerance may be higher than the dog's. Test at a higher level using the test light or check if the battery is low.
Check for damaged antenna, ensure the transmitter is held vertically, and avoid operating near electrical conductors like metal structures or cars.
Clean the charging port with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. Check if the charging pin is damaged or wobbling.
Before use
- Charge the unit for 2 hours before first use.
- Ensure the receiver is turned on using the magnetic red dot.
- Fit the collar so two fingers can fit under the strap.
- Ensure contact points are touching the dog's skin.
- Start at the lowest stimulation level (0).
