This document provides essential instructions for operating the Dogtra ARC 1200S training collar. Key procedures include pairing the transmitter and receiver, adjusting stimulation levels (0-127), and proper collar fitting to ensure effective training and skin safety. Always start at the lowest stimulation level and increase gradually based on your dog's reaction.
Device Overview
The system consists of a handheld transmitter and a receiver collar. The transmitter features a rheostat dial for precise stimulation control, buttons for Nick (short pulse), Constant (continuous pulse), and Pager (vibration) modes, and an LCD screen for status monitoring.
Setup and Operation
To turn on the transmitter, press the blue button on the side until the LCD screen lights up. To turn on the receiver, press the blue button until the LED indicator glows green. To turn off, repeat the process until the LED glows red and turns off. The collar must be fitted snugly enough that the contact points touch the dog's skin, but loose enough to allow one finger to pass between the strap and the neck.

Stimulation and Training
The ARC 1200S offers Nick (short pulse), Constant (continuous pulse), and Pager (vibration) modes. The stimulation level is adjustable from 0 to 127. If the constant button is held for more than 12 seconds, the device will automatically shut off for safety. Always consult a professional dog trainer if you are unsure about training methods or if your dog displays aggressive behavior.
Charging and Maintenance
The device uses lithium-polymer batteries that charge in approximately 2 hours. Charge the batteries when the LED indicator flashes red, the LCD shows only one bar, or the device fails to turn on. Ensure charging ports are sealed with rubber caps after charging. Store the device at room temperature and charge it fully before long-term storage.

Troubleshooting
If the dog does not respond, ensure the receiver is on and the contact points are touching the skin. If the range is insufficient, avoid touching the antenna and keep the transmitter vertical. For persistent issues, contact Dogtra support at [email protected] or +33 (0)1 30 62 65 65.
