Quick guide from the manual
The Worm is a multi-functional analog modulation pedal featuring four effects: Modulated Wah, Phaser, Tremolo, and Vibrato. The device operates in True Bypass mode when the effect is disengaged. Important: The unit requires the supplied 24V DC / 100mA power adapter. Do not use other adapters, as this may cause damage or injury. The unit does not accept batteries.
Controls
MODE Rotary Switch: Selects between the four available effects: WAH, PHASER, TREMOLO, and VIBRATO.
RANGE Knob: Adjusts the intensity of the effect. Turning from counter-clockwise (minimum) to clockwise (maximum) increases the effect intensity.
RATE Knob: Adjusts the speed of the modulation. Turning from counter-clockwise (minimum) to clockwise (maximum) increases the speed from slow to fast.
AUTO / MANUAL/EXP Toggle Switch: Set to AUTO for standard modulation. Set to MANUAL/EXP to disconnect the internal modulation waveform, allowing the RANGE knob to sweep the effect. In this mode, you can also connect an expression pedal to control the sweep.
STATUS LED and FOOTSWITCH: The LED blinks at the rate of the modulation when the effect is engaged. The footswitch toggles the effect on and off.
Connections
INPUT Jack: Connect your instrument here (Input impedance: 300 kΩ).
OUTPUT Jack: Connect to your amplifier or the next effects pedal (Output impedance: 1 kΩ).
EXP. PEDAL Jack: Connect an expression pedal or control voltage generator (0-5V). Requires a TRS plug with the tip attached to the pedal's wiper (Input impedance: 100 kΩ).
24V PWR Jack: Connect the supplied 24V DC / 100mA power adapter here.

Practical help
Common problems
Ensure you are using the supplied 24V DC / 100mA adapter. The unit does not accept batteries and using the wrong adapter can damage the unit.
Ensure the switch is set to MANUAL/EXP mode. Verify the expression pedal uses a TRS plug and the control voltage is between 0V and 5V.
Before use
- Verify the power source is the supplied 24V DC adapter.
- Set the MODE switch to the desired effect (Wah, Phaser, Tremolo, or Vibrato).
- Connect your instrument to the INPUT jack.
- Connect your amplifier to the OUTPUT jack.
- Ensure the AUTO/MANUAL/EXP switch is in the correct position for your needs.
Specs in practice
- Input Impedance
- 300 kΩ; standard for instrument-level signals.
- Output Impedance
- 1 kΩ; suitable for connecting to amps or other pedals.
- EXP. PEDAL Voltage
- 0V to 5V; the range required for external control voltage.
Model compatibility
- Acceptable expression pedals include: M-Audio EX-P, Moog Expression Pedal, Roland EV-5, and Boss FV-500L.
- Expression pedals must have a TRS plug with the tip attached to the pedal's wiper.
