Quick guide from the manual
The EHX Expression pedal is designed to control expression parameters on various devices equipped with an expression jack. To ensure proper operation, always use the included 1/4 inch TRS cable, as standard TS instrument cables are not compatible.
Controls and I/O Jacks
TRS OUT Jack: Connect your device here using the provided 1/4 inch TRS cable. The pedal will not function correctly with a standard TS instrument cable.
REV Button: Controls the sweep direction of the pedal. When set to the OUT position, the sweep is standard (minimum to maximum as you move from heel to toe). Pressing the button to the IN position reverses this behavior (maximum to minimum).
TRS +/- Button: Adjusts the polarity of the TRS jack for compatibility with different devices. For EHX pedals, keep this button in the OUT position. If the pedal does not achieve a smooth sweep, try toggling this setting.
RANGE Knob: Adjusts the minimum setting of the expression pedal. Setting the knob to 10 provides the full sweep range. Turning the knob towards 0 moves the minimum sweep setting closer to the fixed maximum.
