Opening and closing the safe

Opening with combination dial:

  1. Turn the dial LEFT (counter-clockwise) three times to clear prior settings.
  2. Begin by placing the dial on 0 (zero).
  3. Turn the dial LEFT, passing the first combination number FOUR (4) times and stop at the number on the fifth time around.
  4. Turn the dial RIGHT, passing the second combination number TWO (2) times and stop at the number on the third time around.
  5. Turn the dial LEFT, passing the third combination number ONE (1) time and stop at the number on the second time around.
  6. Turn the dial RIGHT and STOP on the fourth combination number.
  7. Insert the entry key into the key lock, turn to the right, and pull the door open.

Closing and locking:

  • Close the safe door and turn the key to the left.
  • Remove the key and spin the combination dial twice.

Additional features: Shelves

Removable Shelf (Model 2054F): Lift up and tilt to remove.

Adjustable Shelves (Model 2084F): These models feature 5-position adjustable shelves. To install, place the four shelf support clips into the desired support guide slots on the interior walls, then lower the shelf onto the clips.

  1. Choose a location accessible from above and below.
  2. Position the mounting template and mark the four corners.
  3. Drill holes through the guide marks.
  4. Verify the holes align with the pre-drilled holes in the safe bottom.
  5. Install the break-off bolts and washers from underneath the mounting surface into the safe.
  6. Turn bolts until the screw heads break off.

Important: Do not drill into the feet, bottom, or any other part of the safe, as this will eliminate fire protection and invalidate warranties.

Use, care and maintenance

Fire protection: The safe interior remains below 350°F (177°C) for 1 hour during a fire up to 1700°F (927°C). Ensure the safe is closed and latched.

Restrictions: Do not store audio/video cassettes, floppy discs, data cartridges, film, photos, or photo negatives. Do not store pearls (heat damage below 350°F). This safe is not designed for medication, combustible items, guns, or weapons.

Maintenance: Clean the outside surface with a mild cleaner (e.g., window cleaner). Do not use abrasive cleansers. Keep hands clean when operating the dial.
