The Flama 1888FL is a microwave oven designed for domestic use. It features various power levels, including grill and combination modes, and a timer for precise cooking, heating, and defrosting.

Safety instructions

• Do not heat liquids or food in closed containers as they may explode.
• Do not operate the microwave while empty.
• Keep the mica plate (located inside) clean and do not remove it.
• If smoke is observed, switch off the appliance, unplug it, and keep the door closed to stifle flames.
• Do not fry food in the microwave.
• Keep the appliance and power cord away from children under 8 years old.

Installation

Ensure the microwave is placed on a level surface with sufficient ventilation space:

• Minimum installation height: 85 cm.
• Clearance above: 30 cm.
• Clearance behind: 20 cm.
• Clearance at sides: 20 cm.

Do not block the air intake or outlet openings. Keep the appliance away from radios and televisions to avoid interference.

Operation

The microwave is operated using two main controls:

• Power level selector: Allows you to choose between various microwave power levels (Low, Defrost, Medium, High, Max) and combination modes (Grill + Microwave).
• Timer: Allows you to set the cooking time up to 35 minutes by rotating clockwise.

To cook, place food on the rotating plate, close the door, select the power level, and set the timer. To interrupt cooking, open the door or turn the timer to zero.

Cleaning and maintenance

Regular cleaning is essential to maintain the appliance's condition:

• Unplug the appliance before cleaning.
• Clean the interior with a damp cloth. Use a mild detergent if necessary.
• Clean the exterior with a damp cloth, ensuring no water enters the ventilation openings.
• The rotating plate and support can be washed in water with mild detergent or in a dishwasher.
• To remove odors, heat a cup of water with lemon juice and rind for 5 minutes, then wipe clean.

Troubleshooting

If the microwave does not work, check the following:

• Cannot turn on: Check if the power cable is connected, or if a fuse/breaker has tripped.
• Does not heat: Ensure the door is closed properly.
• Noisy rotating plate: Clean the rotating support and the base of the microwave.
