The Flama 1706FL is a food chopper and blender designed for domestic use. Important: The appliance is designed for a maximum of 10 seconds of continuous use. If this limit is exceeded, allow the motor to cool down for 1 minute before using it again to prevent overheating. Always ensure the lid is properly placed on the motor unit, as a safety switch prevents operation otherwise.

Safety instructions

Read these instructions carefully before first use. Failure to follow them may void the warranty.

• Hot ingredients: Do not place ingredients hotter than 50°C in the container. Allow food to cool for a few minutes before processing.
• Hard foods: Do not attempt to grind very hard foods such as nutmeg, dried vegetables, meat with bones, sugar, coffee beans, or ice.
• Glutinous substances: Do not use the appliance to mix glutinous substances like jam or marmalade.
• Children: Keep the appliance and cord out of the reach of children.
• Handling blades: Blades are sharp. Handle with extreme caution during assembly, disassembly, emptying, and cleaning.

Operating instructions

Chopper

1. Place the cup on the motorized base.
2. Attach the blade to the central column and ensure it is secure.
3. Add food cut into medium-sized pieces. Do not exceed 2/3 of the cup's capacity.
4. Cover with the lid.
5. Plug in the appliance.
6. Turn on by pressing down on the lid in short, 2-second pulses until the desired consistency is reached.
7. To stop, release pressure on the lid.
8. Wait for the blade to stop completely before removing the lid.

Chopper + Blender cup

1. Remove the blade and cup from the base before attaching the blender cup.
2. Place food in the blender cup.
3. Place the blender cup on the motorized base and rotate slightly to engage the rotating pin.
4. Operate by simultaneously pressing down on both sides of the pressure ring.
5. To stop, release the pressure ring.

Cleaning and maintenance

• Motorized base: Never submerge in water or any liquid. Clean only with a soft, damp cloth.
• Accessories: All other accessories (cup, lid, blade) can be washed with lukewarm water and dish detergent or in a dishwasher, provided the temperature does not exceed 65°C.
• Stains: If parts become stained by foods like carrots or oranges, clean with a cloth soaked in cooking oil.

Troubleshooting

If the appliance does not work, ensure it is properly plugged in. If there is a burning smell, this is normal during the first few uses; otherwise, check for motor overload. If the device switches off, it may be overheating; unplug and wait 30 minutes. If the blade does not rotate, check for poor assembly or pieces that are too large.
