This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient operation of the FLEX SBE 64 18-EC and SBE 127 18-EC cordless band saws. Before use, ensure the battery is fully charged and the correct blade is installed for your specific material. Always wear appropriate eye and respiratory protection. During operation, ensure the workpiece is securely clamped and the workpiece guide is in contact with the material.

Intended use
The cordless compact band saw and deep cut band saw are intended for commercial use in industry and trade, specifically for professional metal and plastic cutting applications. They are not designed for cutting wood or similar materials.
Technical data
The saws operate on 18V DC. The SBE 64 18-EC uses 835x13x0.5mm blades, while the SBE 127 18-EC uses 1140x13x0.5mm blades. Both models have a no-load speed of 0-192 m/min. Maximum cutting depth is 64mm for the SBE 64 and 127mm for the SBE 127.
Overview
Key components include the lock-off button, speed dial, front handle, tension lock lever, blade, LED light, workpiece guide, and saw hook. Refer to the diagram (Figure A) for specific part numbering.
Battery operation
Insert the charged battery into the tool until it clicks into place. To remove, press the release button and pull the battery out. Protect battery contacts when not in use to prevent short circuits.

Blade selection and installation
Select a blade with the correct pitch for the cutting job. WARNING! Always remove the battery before installing or removing the blade. Ensure teeth face down and point toward the workpiece guide. For installation, turn the tension lock lever 180° counterclockwise, open the blade cover, press the new blade between the guide rollers, route it around the pulleys, and through the workpiece guide. Close the cover and turn the tension lock lever 180° clockwise.



Operation
The LED light turns on automatically when the trigger is squeezed. If the tool or battery overheats, the LED will flash rapidly and the tool will shut off. Use the speed dial to set the desired speed (1-6 for SBE 64, 1-5 for SBE 127). Always maintain proper hand position with one hand on the main handle and one on the front handle.


Maintenance and cleaning
Clean the tool and ventilation slots regularly. Blow out the housing interior and motor with dry compressed air. For spare parts and exploded drawings, visit www.flex-tools.com.
Disposal
Do not dispose of power tools or batteries in household waste. In accordance with EU directives, they must be collected separately and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.

Release the switch immediately to avoid damage to the blade and motor.
Ensure the material is securely clamped. If vibration persists, replace the blade.
