The FLEX RS 25 18.0-EC is a cordless one-handed reciprocating saw designed for commercial use in industry and trade. It is suitable for cutting wood, plastic, and metal materials. Before use, ensure the battery is fully charged and the correct blade is selected for the material.
Overview
The tool features a lock-off button, a pivoting shoe for better control, a variable-speed trigger switch, a tool-less blade clamp, and LED lights for illumination.

Operation

Battery Installation and Removal
Insert the charged battery into the tool until it clicks into place. To remove, press the release button and pull the battery out.
Installing and Removing the Saw Blade
Warning: Always lock the tool and remove the battery before making adjustments. To install, rotate the tool-less blade clamp sleeve, insert the blade shank into the clamp until it locks automatically. To remove, rotate the sleeve again to eject the blade.
Pivoting Shoe Adjustment
The shoe pivots to provide maximum control when aligned against the surface being cut. Adjust the angle as needed while avoiding contact with the blade.
Cutting Techniques

General Cutting
Ensure the workpiece is firmly clamped. Mark the cut line clearly. For metal, apply cutting oil. Start the tool and reach the desired speed before applying the blade to the workpiece. Maintain steady pressure and do not force the tool.
Plunge Cutting
Ideal for surfaces that cannot be cut from an edge. Rest the edge of the pivoting shoe on the workpiece, start the tool, and slowly lower the blade into the material using the shoe as a pivot point.
Metal Cutting
Never use wood-cutting blades for metal. Use cutting oil for soft metals and steel to keep the blade cool and increase efficiency. Clamp the workpiece securely near the cut point to minimize vibration.
Maintenance and Care
Warning: Remove the battery before performing any maintenance. Regularly clean the tool and the grille in front of the vent slots. Blow out the housing interior and motor with dry compressed air periodically.
