Assembly Instructions for Golden Lighting 0314-1W Bathroom Sconce

This document provides assembly and installation instructions for the Golden Lighting 0314-1W bathroom sconce. The fixture arrives pre-assembled and ready for installation. All electrical work must be performed by an accredited professional. Always shut off the power supply at the circuit breaker before beginning installation.

Preparing for installation

Carefully remove the fixture and parts bag from the carton. Ensure the power is off at the circuit breaker and remove any old fixture and mounting hardware. Select the correct pair of threaded holes on the mounting strap (A) that match your junction box and fixture backplate. Secure the mounting strap (A) to the junction box using the provided mounting screws (B).

Connecting the wires

Have an assistant support the weight of the fixture during wiring. Connect the fixture wires to the house supply wires using wire connectors, ensuring all twists are in the same direction:

• Hot: Smooth, black, or transparent wire with black inner thread.
• Neutral: Ribbed, white, or transparent wire with white inner thread.
• Ground: Copper, bare metal, green, or transparent wire with green inner thread.

If no house ground wire is present, wrap the fixture ground wire around the ground screw (E) on the mounting strap and tighten securely.

Finishing the installation

Place the fixture backplate (D) over the mounting strap (A) and align the holes. Secure the backplate using the side screws (C) until the fixture is snug against the wall. Lift the shade (H) up to the socket (G) and into the lamp cup (F), securing it with the socket ring (I). Install a light bulb (not included) according to the fixture's specifications, ensuring you do not exceed the maximum recommended wattage.
