Installation Guide for Golden Lighting 0316-FM Flush Mount Ceiling Light

This document provides assembly and installation instructions for the Golden Lighting 0316-FM flush mount ceiling light. Installation must be performed by an accredited professional. Always shut off the power supply at the circuit breaker before beginning work.

Preparing for installation

1. Carefully remove the fixture and parts from the carton.
2. Shut off power at the circuit breaker and remove the old fixture and mounting strap.
3. Attach mounting screws (A) to the mounting strap (B). Test the canopy (F) against the strap to determine the correct insertion depth for the screws, then secure them with nuts (C).
4. Secure the mounting strap (B) to the junction box using mounting screws (D).

Connecting the wires

Have an assistant support the fixture's weight during wiring:

• Hot: Connect the fixture's smooth, black, or transparent wire (with black inner thread) to the house's hot wire.
• Neutral: Connect the fixture's ribbed, white, or transparent wire (with white inner thread) to the house's neutral wire.
• Ground: Connect the fixture's copper, bare metal, green, or transparent wire (with green inner thread) to the house's ground wire. If no house ground wire exists, wrap the fixture's ground wire around the ground screw (E) on the mounting strap.

Twist wire ends together in the same direction and secure with a wire connector. Tuck all wires into the junction box.

Finishing the installation

1. Lift the canopy (F) over the mounting strap (B) and secure it using the deco nuts (G).
2. Lift the metal shade (I) to the socket threads (H) and secure it with the socket cover (J).
3. Install the specified light bulbs (not provided). Do not exceed the maximum recommended wattage.
4. Turn on the power and test the fixture.
