This document provides essential installation instructions for the Golden Lighting 1210-1W Regent wall sconce. All installation work must be performed by an accredited professional. Ensure the power supply is completely shut off at the circuit breaker before starting. Use only the specified bulbs and do not exceed the maximum wattage.

Preparing for installation

• Carefully remove the fixture and all parts from the carton.
• Shut off power at the circuit breaker and remove the old fixture and mounting strap from the wall.
• Ensure the mounting strap (A) is prepared with the correct mounting screws (C) tightened in place.
• Place the mounting strap (A) against the junction box and align the backplate (D) to ensure the fixture will hang straight.
• Pull house wires through the center of the mounting strap and secure the strap to the junction box using screws (B).

Connecting the wires

Have an assistant support the fixture's weight during wiring. Connect the fixture wires to the house supply wires using wire connectors, ensuring all twists are in the same direction:

• Hot: Connect the fixture's smooth, black, or transparent wire with black inner thread to the house's hot wire.
• Neutral: Connect the fixture's ribbed, white, or transparent wire with white inner thread to the house's neutral wire.
• Ground: Connect the fixture's copper, bare metal, green, or transparent wire with green inner thread to the house's ground wire. If no house ground wire exists, wrap the fixture's ground wire around the ground screw (E) on the mounting bracket.

Finishing the installation

• Place the backplate (D) over the mounting screws (C) and secure it against the wall using the decorative nuts (F).
• Slide the glass shades (L) over the sockets (G).
• Push the candle sleeves (H) down into the glass shades and over the sockets.
• Use the provided socket tool (I) to thread the retaining rings onto the socket threads to secure the glass in place.
• Install the appropriate light bulb (not included) and restore power to test the fixture.
