Quick guide from the manual

This document provides assembly and installation instructions for the Golden Lighting 0316-M1L pendant light. Installation must be performed by an accredited professional. Always turn off the power supply at the circuit breaker before starting. Ensure you use only the specified bulb type and do not exceed the maximum wattage.

Preparing for installation

Carefully unpack the fixture and the hardware bag. Shut off power at the circuit breaker and remove the old fixture and mounting strap. Prepare the new mounting strap (A) by attaching the nipple (F) with washer (D) and hex nut (C), then secure the strap to the junction box using mounting screws (B).

Assembling the fixture

Remove the socket cover (O) if attached. Feed the fixture wires through the top loop (L) and thread the loop onto the fixture body. Attach the chain (J) using the chain connectors (K) between the top loop (L) and the canopy loop (H). Feed the wires through the chain, canopy loop collar (I), canopy loop (H), and canopy (G).

Connecting the wires

Have an assistant support the fixture weight. Connect the fixture wires to the house supply wires using wire connectors:

Wiring identification diagram
Wiring identification diagram
  • Hot: Transparent wire with black inner thread, black wire, or smooth wire.
  • Neutral: Transparent wire with white inner thread, white wire, or ribbed wire.
  • Ground: Transparent wire with green inner thread, green wire, or bare copper.

If no house ground wire exists, wrap the fixture ground wire around the ground screw (E) on the mounting strap and tighten.

Finishing the installation

Lift the canopy (G) to the ceiling and secure it by tightening the canopy loop collar (I) onto the canopy loop (H). Secure the canopy further with deco nuts (G). Place the metal shade (N) over the socket (M) and secure it with the socket cover (O). Install the appropriate light bulb and restore power.
