Practical help
Common problems
Ensure the power supply is connected correctly to the 9V DC socket and meets the 9V/33mA centre negative requirement.
If the device was transported in low temperatures, do not switch it on immediately; allow it to reach room temperature first.
Ensure no liquid has entered the device and that no metallic parts have fallen inside. Check that the input/output cables are securely connected.
Before use
- Verify the power supply is 9V DC, centre negative, and provides at least 33 mA.
- Ensure the environment is dry and free from heavy dust or smoke.
- Check that the device covers are intact and not damaged.
- Confirm the instrument cable is 6.35 mm jack compatible.
Specs in practice
- Centre negative
- The polarity of the power plug; the inner pin must be negative, and the outer sleeve must be positive.
