User Manual for Thrustmaster TFRP Rudder Pedals

The Thrustmaster TFRP (T.Flight Rudder Pedals) system is designed for flight simulation. To ensure proper operation, always keep the rudder axis centered (without placing your feet on the pedals) when connecting the device. The pedals feature automatic calibration, which occurs after a few movements and reaching the physical stops for the rudder and differential brake axes. Always connect the pedal set to the adapter before connecting the adapter to your PC.

Device Overview

The TFRP pedal set includes the following components:

• TFRP pedal set
• Rudder axis
• Axes for independent differential brakes
• Male RJ12 connector
• RJ12/USB adapter (T.RJ12 USB Adapter)
• Adapter female RJ12 connector
• Adapter USB connector
• Adapter selector switch
• Adapter LED
• Removable heel-rests
• Allen key

Removable Heel-Rests

The pedal set features two removable heel-rests to accommodate different ergonomic preferences:

• Foot fully positioned on the pedal: Use with the heel-rest installed.
• Ball of the foot positioned at mid-pedal: Use with the heel-rest removed.

To remove the heel-rests, use the included Allen key to unscrew and remove the two screws from each heel-rest, then remove them from the pedals. Reverse this procedure to reinstall.

Installation on PC

To install the TFRP pedals on a PC using the RJ12/USB adapter:

1. Connect the pedal set's male RJ12 connector to the female RJ12 connector on the adapter.
2. Set the adapter's selector switch to the AIRPLANE position.
3. Visit https://support.thrustmaster.com/, select Joysticks / TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals, and download the drivers and custom Windows Control Panel interface.
4. Once installed, connect the adapter's USB connector to a USB port on your PC.
5. The adapter's LED will light up in GREEN.
6. Access the Control Panel via the Start menu to verify the device appears as "T-Rudder" with an "OK" status.

Installation on T.Flight Hotas

For direct connection to T.FLIGHT HOTAS 4 or T.FLIGHT HOTAS ONE joysticks, do not use the RJ12/USB adapter:

1. Connect the TFRP pedal set's male RJ12 connector directly to the female RJ12 connector on the back of the joystick.
2. Connect the joystick's USB connector to your PC or game console.

Advanced Software

When connected via the RJ12/USB adapter, you can use advanced software:

• Advanced Calibration Software (T.RJ12 USB ADAPTER Calibration Tool): Allows adjustment of dead zones at the beginning and end of the rudder and brake axes, and the central dead zone of the rudder axis. Settings are saved to the adapter's internal memory.
• T.A.R.G.E.T (Thrustmaster Advanced pRogramming Graphical EdiTor): Allows for complex configurations, different programming levels (Basic, Advanced, Script), and drag-and-drop functionality. It also allows the pedal set to be recognized as a single USB device when used with other Thrustmaster controllers.

Troubleshooting

• Pedal set not working or improperly calibrated: Power off your PC, disconnect the USB connector, reconnect it, power on your PC, and restart the game. Ensure the selector switch is in the AIRPLANE position and the LED is GREEN.
• Cannot configure: Check your game's controller/joystick menu for the correct configuration or use the T.A.R.G.E.T software.
• Sensitivity issues: Ensure the pedals have reached their physical stops to complete automatic calibration. Adjust sensitivity and dead zones within your game's controller settings or use the calibration software.
