Quick guide from the manual

The HiKOKI RB 18DC is a cordless blower designed for cleaning facilities and equipment in various environments. This manual provides essential instructions for safe operation, battery management, and maintenance.

Device Description

The blower features a handle, switch, air volume changing lever, ON lock button, motor and fan, blast port, nozzle, and suction port. It is powered by a Multi Volt or BSL18 series battery (sold separately).

Battery Removal/Installation

To remove the battery, hold the housing firmly and push the battery latches. To install, insert the battery while observing its polarities.

Operation

For blowing, mount the nozzle to the blast port. For dust collection, mount the nozzle to the suction port and attach the dust bag to the blast port. Use the air volume changing lever to adjust the airflow (low, medium, high).

Charging

Charge the battery using the specified charger (e.g., UC18YSL3). Connect the charger to a power source, insert the battery, and monitor the charge indicator lamp. A blinking blue light indicates charging, while a solid green light indicates charging is complete.

Maintenance and Inspection

Regularly inspect mounting screws for tightness. Keep the motor winding clean and dry. Inspect tool and battery terminals for dust and swarf. Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth or soapy water; do not use solvents. Store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children.

Safety

Always wear eye protection. Do not block the blast or suction ports. Never point the blower toward people or animals. Do not use in environments with flammable materials or high heat sources. If the tool overheats or operates abnormally, stop immediately and contact an authorized service center.
