This document provides essential operating instructions for the Hikoki NT 1865DAA and NT 1865DSA cordless finish nailers. Always ensure the battery is removed before performing maintenance, clearing jams, or adjusting the tool. Wear eye and ear protection during operation.

Operation modes
The nailer features two operation modes, selectable via the operation panel (except for New Zealand models of NT1865DSA, which are fixed to full sequential mode):
- Full Sequential Actuation: Press the push lever against the wood, then pull the trigger.
- Contact Actuation: Allows for rapid nailing by holding the trigger and bouncing the push lever against the workpiece.
Loading nails
- Remove the battery.
- Insert the nail strip into the back of the magazine.
- Slide the strip forward.
- Push the nail feeder (A) to engage the nail feeder (B) with the nail strip.
Adjusting the nailing depth
If nails are driven too deep or too shallow, adjust the depth:

- Remove the battery.
- Turn the adjuster on the tool.
- Turn toward the shallow side if nails are too deep, or toward the deep side if nails are too shallow.
Maintenance and troubleshooting
Regularly clean the magazine and the push lever mechanism using a blower or brush to prevent jams. If the tool fails to operate, check the battery charge, ensure the push lever is not obstructed, and verify that the trigger lock is disengaged. If the tool is too hot or cold, allow it to reach an adequate temperature before use.
