Quick guide from the manual

This manual provides instructions for the HiKOKI DH 1826DA and DH 1826DC cordless rotary hammers. It covers safety, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Always ensure the battery is removed before performing any maintenance or changing accessories.

Operation modes

The tool features multiple operation modes selectable via the changeover switch:

  • Rotation + Hammering: For drilling anchor holes, concrete, or tile.
  • Rotation only: For drilling in steel or wood (requires optional drill chuck).
  • Hammering only: For light-duty chiseling, groove digging, and edging.

The tool also includes an Auto Stop Function for continuous drilling, which records the time from switch ON to switch OFF to automate subsequent drilling tasks.

Reactive Force Control (RFC)

The tool is equipped with RFC to reduce jerking if the bit is suddenly overburdened. If the motor stops due to RFC, release the switch and remove the cause of the overburdening before continuing.

Battery maintenance

To extend battery life, avoid discharging completely and do not charge at high temperatures. Keep the battery terminals free of concrete dust and debris to prevent malfunctions. If the tool stops suddenly, check if the battery is overheated or if the RFC has been triggered.

Maintenance and inspection

Regularly inspect the tool for dull bits, loose mounting screws, and clean the battery compartment after drilling concrete. Use only genuine HiKOKI batteries and accessories.
